[아시아경제 강나훔 기자] Joe Biden’s US administration urged China on the 13th (local time) to provide all data on the outbreak of Corona 19 to the World Health Organization (WHO).

White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan made a statement on the day and requested in connection with the recent report that China refused to provide data to the WHO investigation team trying to find the origin of Corona 19, according to major foreign media such as AFP.

“We are deeply concerned about how the initial results of the Corona 19 investigation were delivered,” said Sullivan, and pointed out that there are doubts about the process of transmitting the results of the Chinese investigation to the WHO investigation team.

He then stressed that “this report should be independent”, saying that the Chinese government should not intervene in the WHO’s investigation report or change it.

Aide Sullivan urged China to cooperate with the WHO investigation, saying, “Make the data available from the beginning of the outbreak of (Corona 19).”

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on the previous day that China refused to provide raw data (raw data) and customized data on early outbreak cases to the WHO investigation team trying to find the origin of Corona 19. Instead, Chinese government officials and scientists provided only their own analysis and extensive summaries.

The data can help determine when and how Corona 19 first began to spread in China, the newspaper said.

In this regard, in a statement by a spokesman at the Chinese Embassy in the United States on the 14th, China protested, “WHO is an authoritative multilateral international organization in the health field, and it is not a funfair that can be freely in and out.”

“The United States has seriously weakened multilateral organizations such as the WHO in recent years and has caused significant harm to international cooperation for Corona 19.” However, the United States acts as if nothing has happened and blames the WHO and other countries that faithfully support the WHO. He pointed out.
