China cooperates with hackers

The White House is confident that the PRC hackers receive salaries from the government and carry out its orders.

Chinese authorities have partnered with hired hackers who have launched an attack using vulnerabilities in Microsoft Exchange. The United States, the European Union and NATO were accused of cyber evils, writes TASS.

Harmful actions were recorded in March this year. The cyberattack was likely organized by hackers with links to the Chinese authorities. This was stated during a telephone briefing by a representative of the White House administration.

“The United States government, along with allies and partners, is formally attributing a malicious cyber campaign using zero-day vulnerabilities in Microsoft Exchange Server, discovered in March, to attackers linked to China’s Ministry of State of Defense,” he said.

The United States has promised to reveal exactly how China conducts cyber operations around the world. The White House intends to talk about more than 50 tricks that were aimed at the United States and its allies.

In addition, it is argued that the behavior of the Russian Federation in the cybersphere is different from the aggressive actions of the Chinese government.

“On the Russian side, we sometimes see people who ‘work part-time at night.’ And we see some connections between the Russian special services and individuals. But this kind of use by the Chinese Ministry of State Security of contract hackers to conduct unauthorized cyber operations around the world is a special case.” – said a spokesman for the White House.
