Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population Dr. “Hala Zayed” directed that treatment be dispensed to chronic disease sufferers for a period of 3 months, which is provided free of charge.
That day came during a meeting the Minister held, with the governors of Matrouh and Alexandria, to follow up efforts to address the emerging corona virus.
During the meeting, the Minister clarified the continuation of work on presidential initiatives to public health within units, hospitals, mobile clinics and health centers, and treatment for chronic diseases for a period of up to 3 months in advance, and for free.
She added that her decision comes in light of the public health concern for citizens, and the reduction of health complications that result from chronic diseases.
Medical service has been provided free of charge to 3 million citizens in the initiative of the President of the Republic to follow up and treat chronic diseases so far.
And treatment was provided to one million and 800 thousand chronic diseases free of charge.
And it appeals to citizens, especially those over 40 years old, to participate in the President’s initiative, to detect chronic diseases.
The initiative has provided 108 medicinal items to chronic diseases free of charge.
