CULTURE AND ORGAN DONATION ABSENT IN NAYARIT … Even though important steps have been taken on the subject, the culture of organ and tissue donation is still absent in Nayarit, revealed the representative of the IMSS in Nayarit, Dr. Jorge Martínez Torres, who highlighted and applauded the most recent donation of corneas, that will benefit at least a couple of patients with vision problems and who are on the long waiting list nationwide.

Martínez Torres explained that another of the complicated issues that he has to face is the null donation of the kidney, from the living donor for patients suffering from kidney failure:
