Supporting the museums you love is essential to supporting the staff who work there. For example, the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) has already laid off more than 79 employees… For those lucky enough to be in New York, rediscover the big apple in unique conditions. Indeed, the number of visitors being limited, the city offers itself to you. It is rare to be able to visit museums like the MoMA or the MET with so few people.

What to know to organize your visits to museums in New York

  • Each museum is subject to strict specifications. The occupancy rate, access to hydro-alcoholic gel stations, respect for social distancing are part of it. Obviously, if you have symptoms or are at risk, stay home. These rules apply generally. Each museum website recalls these security measures.
  • In order to control the influx of visitors and limit the crowd, most museums invite you to book your tickets in advance. You will find tickets for most New York museums in our section Excursions in New York. Finally, note that the changing rooms and cafes of these establishments will remain closed. Good visits!
