JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Transmission corona virus that is still happening in the community makes up the number of cases Covid-19 in Indonesia continues to increase until today, Saturday (8/8/2020).

A high number of new cases have been added again, even though the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has been going on for more than five months.

Government data that entered until Saturday at 12.00 WIB showed that there were 2,277 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The additions were total coronavirus case in Indonesia, it has reached 123,503 people, since the first patient infected with the corona virus was announced on March 2, 2020.

This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force through the Covid19.go.id website, which was updated on Saturday afternoon.

The patient recovered and died

The same data also shows hope by increasing it Covid-19 patients who recovered.

It is known that there are an additional 1,749 Covid-19 patients who recover in a day.

Thus, the total number of Covid-19 patients who were declared cured and no longer infected with the corona virus was 79,306 people.

They were declared cured after two tests with the method polymerase chain reaction (PCR) shows negative results for the corona virus.

However, there is still sad news with the addition of Covid-19 patients who have died.

In the period 7 – 8 August 2020, it is known that 65 Covid-19 patients have died.

This resulted in an accumulation of 5,658 Covid-19 patients who died in Indonesia since the beginning of the pandemic.

The dynamics of the number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered and died have left 38,539 people still undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, there are 83,624 people currently under suspicion.
