Unvaccinated German gets no wages during quarantine | Career

Several American employers and even the government require vaccination against the corona virus. This is not allowed in the Netherlands. An employer is not even allowed to ask about vaccination status, and if he already knows it, he is not allowed to register it. Let alone attach consequences.

In Germany, where more than 60% of the adult population has been fully vaccinated, some federal states have now considered that workers will lose their right to salary during a mandatory quarantine period (for example after visiting a so-called high-risk country) if they are not vaccinated.

German Health Minister Jens Spahn supports the plan, German media such as Bild report.

In Baden-Württemberg the rule comes into effect from 15 September, in Rhineland-Palatinate from 1 October. Hesse would also think of such regulations, but has not yet mentioned a date.
