Legend Chris Evert was keen to respond directly and publicly to Patrick Mouratoglou about his recent outing on the popularity of the new generation compared to the Big 3, represented by Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
The American indeed considered that the coach’s words were a little harsh concerning this famous Next Gen who is making a real name for herself, especially after the last edition of the Australian Open where new players have made their appearance on the big tennis scene like the Czech Jiri Lehecka or the American Ben Shelton.
“Wow, that’s a bit negative! Think more positively; they are rebuilding, there is a lot of talent in this new generation, the Americans are doing well as Novak is about to be the greatest of all time”wrote the former world number one on her Twitter account in response to the previous tweet from the current coach of Simona Halep.
