Good news for entrepreneurs and self-employed people who continue to suffer from the corona pandemic: Bridging aid III Plus and Restart Aid Plus will be paid three months longer until the end of the year.
The Federal Ministry of Finance and the Federal Ministry of Economics have agreed to continue to support companies with Corona aid. The so-called bridging aid III Plus will be extended until the end of December. Originally it would have expired at the end of September.
Only for companies with a 30 percent drop in sales
Bridging aid can be applied for by companies that have suffered a drop in sales of at least 30 percent due to the Corona crisis. You will receive a staggered reimbursement of fixed costs. The application must be submitted by an auditing third party, such as the tax advisor.
According to the two ministries, an equity grant, which is intended to strengthen the substance of companies that are particularly strongly affected over the long term, will also be available from September until December.
Help for solo self-employed until the end of the year
The solo self-employed also receive state aid for three months longer. For the period from October to December, self-employed people, whose turnover is further restricted by the pandemic, could apply for “Neustarthilfe Plus” and thus receive support of up to 4500 euros. “While things are looking up again for most areas of the economy, the corona-related restrictions are continuing in some industries,” the two ministries justified the extension of the aid.
According to the federal government, however, the so-called “restart premium”, with which the transition from lockdown to reopening should be facilitated, will not be continued. This had “served its purpose,” it said.
