It is as if the Meilandjes want to be able to pull the plug on Code Rosé soon. Viewers are going crazy about the unsavory events at breakfast in the guest house. In Chateau Meiland you can see how Martien wants to prepare the sandwiches and croissant in the oven in the morning without wearing gloves. That goes so wrong that at one point the fire alarm even goes off. And when coffee residue is spotted in a mug, Martien just shrugs his shoulders.
‘Is that funny? To throw the rolls straight into the oven and take them out without gloves? No!’ pens a viewer, who probably thanks him for a night in Noordwijk. ‘You can also put normal rolls in an oven. This is really ridiculous,” writes another. Some people especially laugh at Martien’s demands for a kitchen that he does not even know how to use optimally. ‘Nice, a chic kitchen with a gold tap. For at home. In the catering industry, functionality and reliability should be the first priority.’ And: ‘Wonderful people, but gaining some preparation and catering knowledge is not an unnecessary luxury.’
There is also outrage at the solution that Erica proposes to continue with Code Rosé, without Martien having to lie on a stretcher in the guest house. She asks interior carer Melissa if she wants to move into the accommodation. The student, who indeed wants to live on her own, reacts doubtfully. But when Erica promises her that everything will be beautifully renovated, she indicates that she will think about it.
‘Say, bring that girl in as a 24-hour laborer under the guise of ‘then you get a bigger house’. Devious, Erica,” says a viewer, who also warns Melissa: “Don’t do it, girl! You lose your free life and are employed 24 hours a day by Code Rosé.’
