C3 Kerala Strikers suffered their first defeat in the third season of the Celebrity Cricket League. Strikers lost by 64 runs against Telugu Warriors. The challenge for the Kerala team was the batting of Telugu captain Akhil who scored a half-century in spells. While the Telugu players held on to good batting, the strikers, except for Rajeev Pillai, struggled to find runs.
In the second innings of the Strikers, the team needed 169 runs, including the lead they gave up in the first innings. But the team managed to score 105 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in ten overs. As in the first spell, Rajeev Pillai is Kerala’s top scorer. Rajeev scored 38 runs off 23 balls.
