The display technology with self-illuminating, organic pixels only had a very brief appearance at Hisense. After this Debut TV O8B, which came onto the market in 2019, is also over with OLED. An additional LC layer in 2K resolution is attached between a 4K display and the backlight, which increases the dimming zones to 2 million. Depending on the display size, the number of dimming zones should increase to up to 24 million. With the DualCell technology, Hisense is able to display a bright, high-contrast and colorful image and at cheaper prices than OLED.
We found that the presentation of the ULED XD models at CES 2020 was quite impressive. We would almost assume that many visitors would have preferred dual cell technology over an OLED.
