MADRID, 17 (EUROPA PRESS)
Cathay Pacific concluded on March 15 another test on the digital certificate on a route between Hong Kong and Los Angeles (USA), to facilitate international mobility in a pandemic.
In a statement, the airline has reported that the current test precedes another test previously carried out in October last year, on a flight from Hong Kong to Singapore.
Cathay Pacific pilots and cabin crew volunteered for the trial, using the CommonPass app and pre-departure PCR test logs to create a digital pass.
This certificate included his name, travel document number, and confirmation that his negative Covid-19 test result was within the prescribed time frame and was carried out in accredited laboratories, as required by authorities.
According to the airline, the adoption of digital travel passes will make the situation before departure “more agile” and mean “less stress” for passengers in the post-covid world.
In addition, Cathay Pacific has highlighted that it will offer a sustainable solution that allows airport operations to expand as travel resumes.
