The transfer market continues to make waves in the United States with the announcement of the arrival of a Comorian international to Union Omaha. After a season spent with the Burqueños of New Mexico United in the USL Championship, Alexis Souahy joined the Owls of Nebraska in the USL League One (D3).
During his time at New Mexico, the centre-back appeared in 25 league games, helping his team qualify for the Major League Soccer promotion play-offs. Although they reached the round of 16, their adventure ended against Sacramento Republic. Souahy has a wealth of USL experience and great leadership qualities on and off the pitch.
Trained in Le Havre, Alexis Souahy has been pursuing his American dream since 2014. He proved himself at the NDC Falcons and Michigan Bucks before joining the USL by signing for Louisville City. The Comorian has worn the Louisville jersey 95 times, even winning the title in 2018 against Didier Drogba’s Phoenix. International, he was called up for the first time in November 2021 for the preparation of CAN 2021. He has a selection with the Cœlacanthes.
