Union Neuchâtel hires Noé Anabir, a young …

Union Neuchâtel completes its armada of Swiss players. Noé Anabir, a 25-year-old Swiss player, arrives from BBC Monthey and has signed up for a season, the Neuchâtel club announced on Monday. Versatile, the player from Thônex “evolves into 2 or even 3 positions if necessary,” according to Daniel Goethals, Union coach.

The Genevan turned with averages of 10.1 points scored, 1 assists distributed and 3.9 rebounds captured in 20 league games last season. Returning to Switzerland last year, Noé Anabir previously played four seasons in the United States, notably in NCAA1, the highest university level, with the Penguins team of Youngstown State University, in Ohio.

The former member of the Geneva Lions thus joins the six other Helvetians of the Neuchâtel squad that are Bryan Colon, Killian Martin, Yoan Granvorka, Selim Fofana, Vigdon Memishi and Eliott Kuebler.
