On Thursday, BILD reported that Union Berlin is about to loan Portuguese central defender Diogo Leite (23).
Now the deal is almost watertight, the rental fee is reportedly 500,000 euros.
According to BILD information, Leite is already in a training camp with Union in Austria. Now only the last formalities have to be clarified before Union makes the deal official.
The 2016 U17 European champion and 2021 U21 runner-up was on loan to first division club Sporting Braga (23 league games) last season. Leite is left-footed, a real edge at 1.88 meters and is considered to be very good with the ball.
