While participating in the 55th high-level session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, which was held in Geneva, the Union Association for Human Rights praised the Emirati experience related to gaining global leadership in to use artificial intelligence technologies to serve humanity, through strategic partnerships with public and private institutions.

She praised the experience of the UAE in combating discrimination and racism, while calling for the need to strengthen international efforts to eliminate racial discrimination worldwide.

This came in two written statements issued by the “Association” in collaboration with the Arab-European Forum for Dialogue and Human Rights, under the eighth and ninth items of the meeting plan of the United Nations International Council for Rights Human, and within the framework of the participation of non-governmental organizations in specific written statements.

Emirati Achievements

The association recommended that the Human Rights Council investigate the negative effects of artificial intelligence on human rights, address them, and ensure that international actors take their humanitarian and social responsibilities. Fighting racial discrimination
