United We Can accuses the municipal government team of abandoning the cultural sector of Alicante and proposes a revival plan with local artists and companies.
The coalition maintains that this is an “essential” sector to emerge from the economic crisis and that is why it advocates a change in the production model oriented to creation of cultural employment, especially, when this sanitary crisis is overcome.
Its spokesman Xavi López proposes the creation of a cultural program that brings together artists from the city of Alicante that they create from their homes and specialized in different disciplines. In addition, they propose that the web and channels be used for its distribution on-line from the City Council, as it is done in other cities like Oviedo.

United We Can criticizes the inaction of the mayor Antonio Manresa which has allowed a budget cut of 20% in his department, but also accuse him of “lack of ideas and projects and the general abandonment of the sector.”
López remembers that his group has already presented amendments to the municipal budget 2020 aimed at incorporating cultural employment promotion activities endowed with 30,000 euros, which were rejected by the bipartisan PP and Ciudadanos.
