It’s no secret that Paris Saint-Germain pays their stars insane salaries. But these numbers make you dizzy!
The sports newspaper “L’Équipe” has published the supposed monthly gross salaries of all players in the French Ligue 1. Kylian Mbappé therefore gets a whopping six million euros, mind you without bonuses.
This not only makes him the top earner in the league, but also pulverizes the salaries of his PSG teammates Neymar (second place/3.675 million euros) and Lionel Messi. The world champion is in third place with “only” 3.375 million euros. Mbappé collects almost twice as much as the Argentine.
What is particularly clear in the ranking is the financial disparity in the French league. Scheich-Klub Paris is so superior to all other teams that the first ten places are occupied exclusively by PSG players. Only with Wissam Ben Yedder (AS Monaco) does a player from another club appear in eleventh place. His monthly salary: 650,000 euros.
Mbappé signed mega contract
Mbappé actually wanted to switch from Paris Saint-Germain to Spain’s record champions Real Madrid last year. The deal seemed almost perfect, but then the Frenchman changed his mind and surprisingly extended his contract with PSG by three years until 2025 in May. In view of the figures that have now been published, one has to say: EVERYONE would have stayed.
