The UN warns that the number of AIDS deaths in Africa could double. This is because of the anti-corona measures that numerous governments have taken. The supply of anti-AIDS medicines is currently restricted. In addition, many facilities for the treatment of HIV-infected people in Africa are closed. UN Aids therefore demands that everything must be done so that those affected do not have to do without anti-viral therapies for months. A few weeks ago, the UN had already warned that the anti-corona measures could endanger the current programs against malaria.
