Barely released, “Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout” already attracts many cheaters who hijack the mechanics of its gameplay, just to win.
All is not well in what seemed like a brave new world – at least, in the “battle royale” genre. “In less than a week, the new hit title in the field, Fall Guys : Ultimate Knockout, has already conquered several million players around the world, on PC and PlayStation 4. But the price of this glory is manifested today in the form of an entire population of cheaters. Certainly, Fall Guys especially feeds the appetite for multiplayer and fun more than that of pure competition, as at Fortnite or Apex Legends. However, some players do not hear it that way and prefer to win at all costs rather than something else. As explained Polygon, the biggest cheaters in Fall Guys are “speedhackers”. The game developed by Mediatonic for Devolver Digital is split into several selection stages, mainly carried out in the form of races. Thus, many cheaters manage to bypass the gameplay mechanics of the game to make their tumbler (or bean) run much faster than the normal of other players (proof, among many others, in a video below). Other cheaters have managed to make their character fly above the playing field.
“Cheating takes away everyone’s playing pleasure”, underlines a developer of Mediatonic to Polygon. Following several reports, the development team of Fall Guys warned her young and already large community on Twitter (below) that she was aware of this fad of ” speedhack And was actively working to dismantle it. It also encourages players to report cheaters, so that it can further secure the software and thus prevent them from harming.
