Today, January 13, 2022, the Ukrainian satellite “SICH-2-30” will be launched into space. The launch is scheduled for 17:15 Kyiv time from the cosmodrome at Cape Canaveral in Florida.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian satellite will be launched as part of the Transporter 3 mission. It will be launched into orbit by a reusable Falcon 9 launch vehicle.

In general, the Transporter 3 mission will deliver about 100 vehicles into space. The Ukrainian satellite is expected to disconnect from the upper stage at 01:23:02 after launch.

“SICH-2-30” is designed for remote sensing of the Earth, that is, for photographing the surface. The resolution of its cameras will make it possible to distinguish each house, the coverage is 46.6 km, which is important for accurate mapping. The mass of the satellite is about 200 kg.

The data that will come from the satellite will be able to use scientists and intelligence.
