Gas of the Moldovan company Energocom will be supplied by Naftogaz of Ukraine. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to sources in the company.
The volumes of gas that will be supplied to Moldova from Ukraine, however, are small – 500 thousand cubic meters. Earlier, Moldova signed gas supply contracts with the Dutch company Vitol and with the Polish company PGNiG, each for 1 million cubic meters.
Let us remind you that the problem with gas in Moldova became very acute after the Gazprom company harshly raised the issue of repayment of the debt for Russian gas. Chisinau is currently trying to find alternative sources of gas supplies.
