“Ukrainian Defense Minister announces readiness for counteroffensive to regain occupied territory from Russia”

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov (Oleksiy Reznikov) said on the 28th that after months of planning, Ukraine is ready to launch a counteroffensive to regain part of the country occupied by Russia.

“The preparations are coming to an end, the equipment has been guaranteed, prepared and partially delivered. In a global sense, we are ready,” Reznikov told reporters, according to Politico Europe, as quoted by AFP.

“Once there is God’s will, the weather and the decisions of the commanders, we will act,” Reznikov said at an online news conference, Reuters and Russian state media RT reported. He also said that the Ukrainian military was “ready with a high percentage” to go to war and that new modern weapons would act as an “iron fist”. However, he added that training on how to do it is still ongoing.
