“This bedroom is designed for three people, there are three comfortable beds. (..) It is located in the farthest part of the shelter. Here’s the kitchen – actually we’re in the kitchen right now, this is where the stove will be. There will be a table. In the adjacent room – a bathroom with a shower cabin.”
Manufacturers say that the bunkers are very durable and can protect even from projectiles fired at a short distance.
“This type of structure can protect against direct hits from 152-millimeter heavy artillery, which is often used in this war. If it is sunk deeper and properly concreted, it can also protect against larger caliber missiles or even ballistic missiles,” said the creator of the project.
The bunker has an armored door – those who want to break in will have to blow it up from the outside with high explosives. Otherwise, there is no way to get inside.
“The idea of creating such a shelter arose in the summer. I was forced to separate from my family. I had to work in Kharkiv, because this is where my work is, and my family, unfortunately, could not return. Because they were afraid, the situation in Kharkiv was still so difficult, one shooting after another. So I thought: what can I do to have my family with me? And we decided to start producing such bunkers,” says Oleksiy Suslin, the creator of the project.
Three people can survive in a bunker for a week. The developers say they have already received several orders. The price of such a bunker is about 60,000 US dollars.
According to real estate prices, a two-room apartment in Kharkiv cost about the same until the beginning of the war.
