Ukrainian Banks See Increase in Dollar Exchange Rate on March 12

The cash exchange rate of the dollar to the hryvnia in Ukrainian banks on Tuesday, March 12, increased by 10 kopecks – to 38.65 UAH per dollar on average. Today you can sell American currency in banks at an average rate of 38.20 UAH per dollar.

The average exchange rate of the euro to the hryvnia today increased by 24 kopecks and is 42.34 UAH per euro. You can sell European currency at the rate of 41.70 UAH per euro.

In currency exchange offices in Kyiv, the dollar today has risen in price by 11 kopecks – to 38.61 UAH/dollar on average (a dollar can be sold for 38.50 UAH). The cash euro exchange rate in exchange offices today increased by 9 kopecks and is 42.29 UAH/euro (sales rate is 42.13 UAH/euro).

The National Bank of Ukraine set the official dollar-hryvnia exchange rate for Tuesday, March 12, at 38.38 UAH/USD, thus, the hryvnia weakened by 24 kopecks compared to the previous figure. The official NBU exchange rate for the euro on Tuesday was set at 41.96 UAH/euro, that is, the hryvnia weakened by 26 kopecks compared to yesterday’s rate.

Analyst Alexey Kozyrev predicts that the dollar exchange rate in Ukraine in most bank cash desks until March 15 will be within the buying and selling corridor from 37.80 to 38.85 UAH/USD, and in exchange offices of financial companies – in the range from 37.90 to 38 .75 UAH/USD
