Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Ambassador of Ukraine for Indonesia Vasyl Hamianin asks Indonesia to speak up to discuss Russia’s attack on the country, Thursday (24/2).

“So what I expect from Indonesia, is to stand up and speak up, raise your voice, loudly and confidently. And this Indonesian voice will be heard by everyone, including the Kremlin dictator,” Hamianin said at a press conference, Thursday (24/2).

Hamianin assessed that Indonesia’s role was not only as a regional leader, but also developed into a global power capable of influencing the global situation.

“I think Indonesia has raised its voice, no one, no country, region and world leader dares to ignore it,” he said again.

In addition, Hamianin stressed that Ukraine is still paving the way for diplomacy to resolve the conflict with Russia.

“Ukraine is always open to dialogue and diplomatic channels to resolve any difficult situation. Even the most difficult situation can be resolved diplomatically,” Hamianin said.

Hamianin also said the Ukrainians had prepared for the Russian invasion and they were ready. “Ukrainians know what they are standing for. They are defending our children, our mothers, our country, our land,” he continued.

It is known, Russian troops are said to have started moving into eastern Ukraine, one of which is Luhansk. Explosions occur frequently, the Ukrainian government has also appealed to residents in the city of Luhansk to leave the area immediately.

“We recommend residents of the Luhansk region to leave the region immediately,” the head of the Luhansk Region State Administration, Serhiy Haiday, said in a statement on Facebook.
