Ukrainian air defense destroyed 25 out of a total of 38 Russian missiles of various types during a massive bombardment, reported the command of the Ukrainian Air Force. According to the Ukrainian military, Russia has fired X-101/X-555 cruise missiles from eight Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea region and Kalibr missiles from surface ships and submarines in the Black Sea.
In total, the Ukrainian military has counted 23 cruise missiles launched from the air and the sea.
At the same time, Su-35 fighters fired another five X-59 guided missiles. Five Kh-22 cruise missiles were also launched from five long-range Tu-22M3 bombers. One of the X-22 missiles hit the high-rise residential block in the city of Dnipro (Dnipro).
Furthermore five X-59 cruise missiles were also launched, four of which have been taken down.
The Ukrainian capital was attacked from the north with S-400/S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles flying on a ballistic trajectory, the military added.
