Ukraine has intercepted the plans of the Russian secret service to destroy Moldova

Moldova’s intelligence and security service confirmed that Russia is trying to destabilize Moldova.

Addressing European Union (EU) leaders in Brussels, Zelenskiy said that he recently told Moldovan President Maia Sandu about these Russian plans.

“I have informed him that we have intercepted a Russian intelligence plan to destroy Moldova,” the Ukrainian president said.

These documents reveal who, when and how would break Moldova’s democracy and establish control over Moldova, Zelenskiy said.

He pointed out that the plan is very similar to what Russia came up with to take over Ukraine. He added that he did not know whether Moscow ultimately ordered the plan to go ahead.

Chisinau also confirmed what Zelensky said on Thursday.

“The Intelligence and Security Service of Moldova confirms that, both from the information provided by our Ukrainian partner, as well as from our operational activities, subversive activities with the aim of undermining the Republic of Moldova, destabilizing and violating public order have been detected,” the Intelligence and Security Service of Moldova announced.

The service said in a statement that it could not disclose more information due to the risk of compromising operational activities.

The service also assured Moldovan citizens that all state institutions are working at full capacity and will not tolerate this kind of provocation.
