The Ministry of Culture noted that they received a letter on June 11 Security Service of Ukraine on the inclusion of Kirkorov in the list of persons who pose a threat to national security.
The ministry stressed that according to the proposal of the SBU, the inclusion in the list occurs automatically – the ministry itself has no authority over who to include in it.
In 2015 Kirkorov in an interview with the magazine Super stated that if he was included in the Ukrainian black list of artists, he would be proud of it.
Kirkorov has repeatedly done statements in support of the Russian authorities, in particular, called Crimea Russian.
At the beginning of 2021, the Lithuanian Migration Service added Kirkorov to the list of unwanted persons… Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said that the singer, with multiple visits to the occupied Crimea, denied the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and thus indirectly justified the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation.
The artist said in January that for the past seven years cannot enter to the territory of Ukraine, although the list of cultural figures who pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine has not yet been included.
In connection with the military aggression of Russia, Ukraine has banned the broadcasting of some films and series of Russian production, it was also created scroll cultural figures who pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine. They are prohibited from entering the territory of Ukraine. Last time the list was updated on June 18, now there are 201 people. Since 2015 from it expelled four people.
