Ukraine and the European Union intend to develop cooperation in the field of critical raw materials and batteries.

Ukraine and the European Union signed a memorandum of partnership in the field of critical raw materials and batteries. This was announced on Tuesday, July 13, during a conference with the participation of Vice-President of the European Commission Maros Shefchovich, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said, writes Interfax-Ukraine.

“We are starting the second after the energy partnership between Ukraine and the EU in the raw materials sector by concluding a memorandum, which is accompanied by a roadmap. We have also agreed on a more ambitious sectoral integration with the EU. of critical raw materials and a number of other documents, Ukraine can become an important element of the European economic space, “the prime minister said.

He clarified that concrete actions will be worked out before the fall. “These will be concrete steps in each direction of raw materials, batteries, cooperation with investors, the conclusion of bilateral or multilateral agreements,” Shmygal said.

According to him, effective management of subsoil and natural resources will allow to add more than 400 billion euros to Ukraine’s GDP in the next ten years.

In particular, at the first stage in this area they can attract € 10 billion investment, says Shmygal.
