The British government has approved the use of the US pharmaceutical company Modena as its third Corona 19 vaccine, the BBC reported on the 8th (local time).

The UK’s Ministry of Health said on the day that “the supply of Modena was approved today by the Pharmaceutical and Health Care Product Regulatory Authority (MHRA).” Accordingly, the health authorities also said that they ordered an additional 10 million copies of modder or vaccine. The total number of modders or vaccines secured by the UK amounted to 17 million.
Earlier, the UK government approved a vaccine jointly developed by Oxford University in the UK and AstraZeneca, a multinational pharmaceutical company, following the vaccine from Pfizer, a US pharmaceutical company. With Modena’s approval, the UK has a total of three vaccines.
It is said that 1.5 million people have completed the first dose of the Pfizer-AstraZeneca vaccine. However, the BBC added, “The supply of modders and vaccines should be around spring.”
On the same day, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) said, “We will receive an application for conditional sales of AstraZeneca next week.”
Accordingly, EMA is expected to approve the sale of AstraZeneca at the end of this month, Reuters reported.
Earlier, EMA approved conditional marketing approvals for Pfizer and Modena vaccines.
