Michael Kropf, from January you will be the first managing director of the “Swiss Space and Sustainability Observatory”, the so-called S3O. Have you always been fascinated by space?
Michael Kropf: There was always a certain fascination. With the new task, the topics of the S3O naturally move into the center of my daily work. For about a year I have also been very interested in the topic through my youngest son: He is obsessed with stars and planets. My application for the position had nothing to do with that. It was much more about breaking out of the event industry and building something sustainable with long-term substance. I found that at the observatory.
