We have learned of the death of Mr. Fernand Gantner, which occurred on March 2, in Thionville, at the age of 95.
Born July 7, 1926, in Sarrebourg, he lived in Uckange.
Mr. Gantner had married Mrs. Rose née Henrion, on May 28, 1952, in Sarrebourg, and had the pain of losing her on July 21, 2011.
A retired SNCF agent, he was very jovial, outgoing, listening to his friends with whom he shared wonderful moments. He always thought of others and only cared about their happiness.
The deceased rests at the Battavoine funeral home in Thionville.
His funeral will be celebrated Monday, March 7, at 10 a.m., in the church of Ay-sur-Moselle. According to his will, his body will be cremated.
