UAE Government Agencies Discuss Enhancing Bureaucracy Zeroing Efforts and Initiatives

Dialogue sessions, and taking advantage of feedback channels, such as the customer pulse system, the secret shopper, and social media.

He touched on the scope of the program’s work and the forms of government bureaucracy that it seeks to confront, the most important of which is the abundance, repetition, and conflict of requirements and requirements, and the length of time to complete the procedure.

He also addressed the challenges posed by bureaucracy through its impact on the speed of implementation, the ability of government agencies to make quick decisions and innovate at work, as well as its negative impact of high operating costs.

The workshop reviewed the experiences of the comprehensive digital certification project from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the work package project from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and highlighted the results achieved by the two projects in shortening procedures, raising efficiency levels, speeding up completion, and facilitating the customer’s journey.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khaled Belhoul, discussed the comprehensive digital certification project, which succeeded in making it possible to apply for the digital certification through the platform of the entity that issued the document, and to obtain the certificate digitally certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the country’s mission abroad within five minutes, and in one step, instead of The old procedure required six working days and nine steps.

A dialogue session touched on the experience of the Work Package Project, in which the Director of the Electronic Services Department at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Salem Al Yasi, Major Darwish Al Mansouri from the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and Khamis Al Fayoumi from the Al Futtaim Group, spoke about the importance of cooperation and integration between federal and local government agencies. And the private sector, to achieve the goals of eliminating government bureaucracy, simplifying procedures, and saving time and effort for customers.

Speakers at the session discussed the role of the work package in providing opportunities for private sector companies to manage employee residencies through a unified platform and submit documents once, and pointed out the success of the package in reducing the number of steps, reducing visits to service centers and the time required to complete the procedure.

The coordinator of the government bureaucracy zeroing program, Hisham Amiri, in the Prime Minister’s Office, reviewed the stages and standards for zeroing out government bureaucracy, and the evaluation axes that include impact, involvement of agencies and individuals, compliance with targets, empowerment of employees, and addressed the priority setting mechanism that will enable agencies to reach the program’s goals.
