If not, I just don’t see how we survive.”
Perry specifically mentioned OpenAI’s text-to-video tool called Sora as the reason behind his decision to put the expansion on hold indefinitely. He revealed that he has been closely monitoring the advancements in AI and had been planning the expansion for the past four years. The expansion would have significantly increased the studio’s backlot and added 12 more soundstages. However, Perry’s concerns about Sora and its implications have led him to reconsider.
