Two Russian planes have disrupted Danish airspace, Copenhagen claims

“It is completely unacceptable for Russian planes to disrupt Danish airspace, even twice in one day. It looks like a deliberate action,” Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod said on Twitter.

The head of diplomacy did not specify what type of aircraft penetrated Danish airspace. The details of the incidents are still under investigation, he said. Kofod added that he had requested a meeting with the Russian ambassador to Denmark.

“This kind of disruption of Danish airspace is very rare, but two incidents on the same day should be considered worrying,” said Danish Defense Minister Trine Bramsen, according to Ritzau.
