A total of 14 cases were diagnosed on French soil: two people hospitalized, eleven healed and one dead.
Two new cases of contamination with the coronavirus have been identified in France, announced Tuesday, February 25, the Director General of Health. “So we have 14 confirmed cases: two people hospitalized, eleven healed and one deceased”, said Jérôme Salomon during a briefing on the evening.

It is primarily a young Chinese woman who returned from China on February 7 and hospitalized in Paris. She is now out of the woods. “She is negative but with traces of recent healing (…) This person is doing very well”, said Jérôme Salomon.
The second case is a French man, returning from a stay in Lombardy, an Italian region hit hard by the epidemic. “He is currently hospitalized in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region (…) His condition does not inspire concern”, said the Director General of Health. Prime Minister Edouard Philippe will meet several ministers and secretaries of state at 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday for a new update on the Covid-19, announced Matignon.
