The officials detailed that the event hall faces fines of up to $ 17,000 for having organized an event of such a nature that so far it has resulted in the contagion of 30 of its attendees.
“Think about it for a moment, a third of the attendees of this event have tested positive for coronavirus,” Bellone said at a press conference.
Also, Bellone also announced that “after receiving numerous calls to 911”, they found another event, a birthday party in Bellport the same day of the wedding that was attended by more than 200 minors.
“This blatant disregard for others is not only disappointing, it also has its consequences,” Bellone reiterated.
That event has so far left 26 people infected, Bellone said.
