Two important structures in Plovdiv are closing their doors!

In connection with Order № RD-01-173 / 18.03.2021 for introduction of temporary anti-epidemic measures in Bulgaria of the Minister of Health and in order to preserve the health of visitors and employees, NB “Ivan Vazov” – Plovdiv takes the following measures:

The access of outsiders in the borrowed halls for the home is terminated. The service will be carried out after an application for borrowing library units through the platform “My Library”, e-mail and telephone of the sector “Home Loans”, German Reading Room and Children’s Department. Citizens will receive the application in the “User Registration” sector in the catalog hall / for the central building /, on the portal of the library for the German Reading Room and in the Children’s Department.

The use of the reading rooms is suspended.

Reference and bibliographic and information services on site are suspended. It remains available with a Virtual Reference Service and a Virtual Local History Service through the library’s website.

Copying services are suspended.

The leasing of premises and exhibition spaces for cultural activities is suspended.

The Public Information Center and the American Center will not work with users.

The library will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

All visitors must wear masks, enter individually, keep a distance of 2 meters.

We regret the inconvenience and hope for understanding.

By Order № RD-01-173 / 18.03.2021 of the Minister of Health, among other restrictions, it is ordered: “The holding of cultural and entertainment events (cinemas, theaters, stage events, concerts, museums, galleries, libraries) is suspended. , classes in dance, creative and musical arts, etc.), including outdoors (fairs, festivals, etc.).

In this regard, from March 22 (Monday) to March 31 (Wednesday) all permanent and temporary exhibitions of the City Art Gallery will be closed for visits and no outsiders will be allowed.

Only the Commission for Issuance of Certificates for Export of Works of Art will continue to work with citizens. It will carry out its activities in strict compliance with anti-epidemic measures. Reception hours remain the same as before: Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon. The place is also unchanged: Halls for temporary exhibitions on 15 Knyaz Alexander I Street. The already opened exhibitions in two of the buildings of the Gallery will be on view again from April 1, the term of their holding will be extended by the number of days for which they were closed to the public.

The exhibition “Without Heroes” by Sevdalina Kochevska and Petar Kochevski in the Exhibition Hall “2019” will last until April 10, 2021. [Не]reality – the 14th edition of ART POSITIVE in Kapana Gallery will last until April 18, 2021.
