Two Hidrocentro workers died walled up in El Consejo

Two workers from the Hidrocentro company lost their lives when they were carrying out installation work on the sewage pipe network on Avenida Bolívar de El Consejo, José Rafael Rvenga municipality, Aragua state. The tragedy occurred at about 11:30 in the morning today, March 6.

According to the versions of the witnesses, the workers were inside the drilling, suddenly a part of the asphalt with earth gave way, leaving the workers walled up. They were immediately rescued and transferred to the El Consejo ambulatory, where unfortunately they were admitted without vital signs.

The deceased were identified as Jesús Oscar Peraza Silva, 64, and José Elías José Oropeza Romero, 49, who lived in the Revenga municipality. The first version indicates that the workers were carrying out the work when, in a fortuitous event, the earthen walls came down and covered them up. Despite the fact that the Fire and Civil Protection officials immediately arrived and rescued the workers, they died in the Ambulatorio emergency room.

It was learned that from the Mayor’s Office of El Consejo they will assume the funeral expenses, while expressing regret and sadness for this fortuitous event in which two homes have mourned, in this sense, jointly with Hidrocentro, they stated that they will compensate the families of these workers, who were responsible people, dedicated to their work and always willing to give everything for their people.
