Twitter speed up the release of a new feature, Twitter Notesformerly known as Articleswhich will allow the publication of more extensive content in article format and will arrive “soon”, according to the social network itself.
This new feature was spotted last February by reverse engineering expert, Jane Manchun Wong. At the time, the feature was known as Twitter Articlesalthough its proposal was the same as Twitter Notes.
Twitter Notes will let you post articles with rich format texts and multimedia support, as indicated by this expert in May. To do this, it will offer a toolbar at the top with options similar to those of a blog editor, such as changing the font, inserting links or the word count.

For added visual support, Twitter Notes will support posting a GIF, a video, or up to four images. In addition, it will also allow you to insert tweets to feed back the platform’s traffic. The expert also spotted a ‘Focus’ mode, which consists of expanding the article so that it occupies the entire screen and hides the sidebars from the user’s eyes.
The application researcher Nima Owji noted last April that Twitter Notes is capable of saving published articles and drafts, which can be accessed through an interface.

When publishing one of these articles on Twitter Notes, the researcher pointed out that the user can choose whether or not they want them to be published automatically in their ‘feed’, in addition to doing so in their Circle or Communities within the platform.
Twitter Notes articles can also be spread within the social network itself by means of ‘retweets’ or by sending their link through a direct message, which can be shared in the same way on other platforms. like email.
Twitter Notes will be available from the account owner’s profile just to the right of the ‘Tweets and replies’ section, as confirmed by the specialized portal TechCrunch the company Watchful.ai.
This proposal is presented as an extension of the threads of the platform, which were introduced in 2017. Since then, have become a popular tool which, at the same time, has led to the creation of ‘bot’ accounts that unify all the ‘tweets’ of a thread in a single space.
