New Delhi, Gatra.com- Recently Twitter appears to be working on an “undo tweet” feature which will allow users to cancel their tweets. Quoted by The Indian Express, this feature was first reported by developer Jane Manchun Wong via her official Twitter @wongmjane. He shared a screenshot of the app that reads “Undo Tweet” under “Feature Settings”. On March 5, he also tweeted a GIF showing that the Undo Tweet option is only available for a limited duration after the tweet has been sent. The tweet shows a short window similar to how Gmail looks after the email has been sent. As per CNET’s report, Twitter has confirmed that they are testing the new feature. However, it is not yet certain whether this test was carried out worldwide or in certain regions. This feature is set to be useful for users who sometimes forget to double-check spelling or numbers when posting. Although limited to typos, people are often ridiculed because of their tweets. Unfortunately, this feature is planned to be available only to paid users. This then reaps various comments from Twitter users. Twitter user @BasvaanKaam for example, he said it still makes sense if the “Undo” feature also contains editing fields. “Otherwise, no,” he wrote. As for @joebell_ is willing to register for a fee if Twitter also removes ads on its homepage. In her comments, Jane Wong mentioned this paid feature as a way to keep Twitter afloat without collecting too much user data.
