Twelve choristers from the “Mosaique musicale” of Saint-Malo will soon sing in New York

It is fortunate for the group to have, thanks to an extract of their performance broadcast on YouTube, been spotted by a New York production company. The Distinguished Concert International DCINY New York in charge of organizing the celebration of the 80th birthday of composer Karl Jenkins appreciated their performance. He is an eclectic contemporary composer with original work, including a “Stabat Mater”. Karl Jenkins is also known in the Saint-Malo region because he came to give concerts in Pleudihen-sur-Rance and at the Sainte-Croix church in Saint-Malo.

500 singers

This event in New York will bring together more than 500 singers from around the world. Mosaïque Musicale Malouine directed by Isabelle Ginet-Besnard will perform during this important international ephemeral choir in the prestigious Carnegie Hall in Manhattan. In addition to the Stabat Mater, the group will sing four other extracts notably taken from the film Avatar.

Created in 1988, the Mosaïque Musicale Malouine choir has existed since 1988 with the aim of promoting choral, classical and lyrical singing. Each year, the choir performs in several shows in Brittany under the artistic direction and choir director Isabelle Ginet-Besnard.
