For several days, there has been a discussion about the removal of Dariusz Szpakowski by TVP authorities from commenting on the final Euro 2020 meeting. The issue is becoming more and more controversial. On Thursday, information appeared in social media that the repetitions of the final match broadcast on TVP Sport lacked thanks, which Mateusz Borek conveyed to Szpakowski.
Mateusz Borek tried to clarify the matter, who on Twitter asked the journalist Szymon Jadczak about the reasons for cutting the fragment.
– I’m a coworker. I don’t sit on montages. I want to believe in people and trust that it was due to the time of revision. This is normal practice – to mount the transmission in time. Removing and cutting it out for other reasons would be absurd – replied the TVP commentator.
In an interview with “Presserwis”, the director of TVP Sport, Marek Szkolnikowski admitted that he had not watched reruns. He added that if such a situation actually took place, it was not intended.
– Thank you for the final, for this tournament, for this month of work which was our passion and pleasure. We apologize for mistakes, accept criticism, hope that we did not disturb you and that you had a good time with us. We bow to all the fans, to all Poles, and in particular to the white and red microphone legend. Darek, greetings, I bow low – said Borek at the end of the broadcast of the final match on TVP. These words would not appear in the repetitions.
