Following the publication of our news yesterday on the adoption of QD Oled technology by Samsung Electronics within its TV 2022 range, many of you are asking us for more details on these televisions. If it is still too early to know their specifications, we already know (a little) more about the expected diagonals.
On the QD Oled production line at the Samsung Display factory in Tangjeong, the Omdia cabinet from August 2020 announced a monthly capacity of 30,000 8.5th generation mother panels. Omdia also predicted that Samsung Display would produce TV panels of 55 ”, 65 ”, 78 ” and 82 inches.

Omdia even went further by detailing the cutting of these 8.5G motherboards with the simultaneous cutting of two 82 ” TV panels and three 32 ” monitor panels, or two 78 ” TV panels and six 27 ” panels. As a reminder, Omdia finally said that Samsung Display should take the opportunity to formalize its entry into the 32 ” Ultra HD 8K monitor market with its QD Oled panels.
