After the White House confirmed that the president, Joe Biden (Democratic Party), had tested positive for Covid-19an image of an alleged statement attributed to former President Donald Trump (Republican Party) began to circulate on social networks.
But the Communications Director of Save America and Trump, Taylor Budowich has denied it on Twitter:
“This is a false statement, purporting to be from Save America/President Trump, FALSE. It was obviously designed by some prankster.”
The statement includes derogatory terms that Trump has used in the past to refer to Biden, including “sleepy Joe” (sleepy Joe), plus references to recovering from Trump when he contracted Covid-19 in 2020 during his mandate, and closes by wishing the current president a speedy recovery.
The false statement has the same appearance as those that the former president usually publishes, but it does not appear in the official Trump page where, usually, they publish the statements of the former president.
The last time he published a statement like that was on July 19.
Second, it has not been published in the Trump profile on Truth Socialthe social network created by the former president after being banned from twitter for, according to the company, having failed to comply with its rules against incitement to violence, nor on its Facebook and Instagram profiles.
