Washington: The Vice President has made it clear that he will not support the decision of the US House of Representatives to impeach Trump. Pence’s position is that the 25th Amendment to the Constitution will not use the power of the Vice President to remove Trump from office. With just eight days to go before Trump’s term expires, Pence says his decision will not benefit the country in particular. But Pence said the violence by Republicans in the House of Commons, known as the Capitol, was “undemocratic.” Pence’s decision comes ahead of a vote of no-confidence in the House today.
Pence announced his decision in an official letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Pence had a meeting with Trump the other day. The two had decided to work together until the end of their official term.
