Trump has said he intends to ensure that Republicans take the majority of the seats in both the Senate and the House of Representatives next year. To a large extent, the midterm elections will be a test of popularity for the incumbent Biden government.
“I think we have a very good chance of recapturing the House,” the controversial former president said in an interview with Fox News. “To be honest, there is also a good chance that we will take the Senate back, then we will make a decision.”
‘They want me to stand for election again’
According to Trump, his supporters are ready for him if he decides to run again in the presidential election. “When I look at every poll, they want me to run again, but we’re going to see,” Trump said.
Trump also encouraged Americans to get vaccinated against the corona virus. That statement was striking because, according to polls, many Republicans and Trump supporters are not waiting for a corona vaccine.
Other than the Fox News interview and speech at a Conservative conference in Florida recently, Trump has spoken very little since he left the White House in January. Since his supporters stormed the Capitol, Trump has been banned from Twitter, the medium he used as a mouthpiece for a long time.
