“We have come a long way with about five countries,” welcoming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the White House’s Oval cabinet before signing the deal with the UAE and Bahrain, Trump said.

“We will have at least five or six countries that will join very soon, we are already talking to them,” he added.

Referring to diplomatic sources,

The Israeli newspaper “Jerusalem Post” reported on Tuesday that Oman also intends to normalize relations with Israel.

“Several diplomatic sources have mentioned that the Sultanate of Oman, which Netanyahu visited in 2018, will be the next country to announce the normalization of ties with Israel,” the newspaper said.

There is ample evidence that Saudi Arabia is also “examining the possibility of warming relations with Israel, although Saudi leaders have publicly stated that they are not ready for full normalization.”

In August, Saudi Arabia allowed a flight between Israel and the UAE to cross its airspace for the first time.

A signing ceremony was held in Washington on Tuesday agreement documents on the normalization of relations between the UAE and Bahrain and Israel.

Most Arab and Muslim countries do not have diplomatic relations with Israel.

On August 13, Trump unexpectedly issued a statement on the normalization of Israeli-UAE relations.

On September 11, the President of the United States announced the conclusion of a similar agreement between Israel and Bahrain.

Of the Arab countries, only Egypt and Jordan have normalized relations with Israel. This took place in 1979 and 1994 respectively.

Trump has hailed Israel’s agreements with the UAE and Bahrain as a victory for its administration.

Under the agreement, Israel has agreed to postpone the further annexation of the Palestinian territories.

Palestinian Authority sees Arab agreement to normalize relations with Israel a betrayal of Palestinians

and their hopes for Jerusalem as the capital of their future state. Turkey and Iran have also expressed their opposition to the agreement.

The Bahraini opposition also condemned it on Tuesday.
